Shihan Rudolf Gabert, Kyoshi will be visiting from Germany to teach at the Bushido Seminar on Sunday 30th May 2010. Shihan Gabert is the Technical Director of Idokan International and has been appointed as the successor to the "Ido" style formed by Professor Wally Strauss.

During his stay Shihan Gabert will also be visiting all of the Idokan Australia schools.

On Saturday 13th March Renshi Kevin and Sensei Leanne went to Sydney to attend the Annual General Meeting and seminar for the Australian Jujitsu Federation.

To raise awareness and funding for the fight against cancer, the "Fight for Life" seminar was born.

This will be a unique event where you will be able to train in different styles of martial arts over the weekend. There will be sessions for anyone interested in Classical or Modern martial arts from beginner to black belt.

Over the weekend of the 7^th & 8^th November 2009, a number of Idokan's senior students and black belts spent the weekend in Merrijig, sweating it out in preparation for the upcoming end of year gradings.

This is a seminar based on two Classical Jujutsu styles. The first session will cover escape and joint locking techniques and in the session after lunch you will learn how to disarm a samurai attacking with his sword. This session makes use of a bokken (wooden sword) and shoto (short wooden sword). The short sword (shoto) is not essential but you will need a bokken.
